Cwmdu Car Club are pleased to announce Toyo Tires UK as the main event sponsor for the British Autograss Series Round 2 being held at The Ovals, Lyonshall, Kington on the weekend of June 21st / 22nd 2008.

Japanese tyre manufacturing giant TOYO TIRES recently confirmed their sponsorship of the event. Cwmdu Chairman, Steve Holmes stated:

‘Cwmdu are very proud to present the Toyo Tires UK Open and look forward to hosting the BAS Series Round 2 at our track in June. Toyo Tires UK are a global tyre manufacturer and we look forward to working with them to host this event.’

Would you please take some time to read through this information which should tell you all you need to know about the event.

The gates will be opened for the event at midday on Thursday 19th June – please do not turn up prior to this as you will be turned away and we do not have any nearby roadside parking.

Admission prices are as per the BAS series.
£20 per person for the weekend
£10 for 12 – 16 yr olds & OAP’s (under 12’s are free)

Junior drivers will pay £20 on the gate when they will be issued with a signing on ticket. This is then to be handed in at signing on along with £3 fee as payable by all drivers.

On entering the field competitors will be directed to the unloading area and then on to the trailer park prior to moving to the camping field. We would ask that this is done as promptly as possible to allow everyone quick, easy and safe access to the venue.

To comply with the camping regulations we would ask that you maintain a 3 metre spacing between units as well as keeping all roadways clear at all times. We will be policing this and those that do not adhere to these rules will be asked to move. This is for your own safety, we have plenty of room available, please use it.

Scrutineering and signing on will take place between 2pm – 11pm on Friday, 6am -8am on Saturday. Racing will start at 9am prompt on both days.

For your entertainment away from the track, there will be a fairground, disco and licensed beer tent at the meeting. There will be security on site during the weekend. Anyone causing trouble will be asked to leave the venue immediately.

The racing format will be odds and evens with Juniors saloons after Men’s Class 9 followed by Junior specials.

We look forward to welcoming you all to our venue and hoping we can finally have some pleasant weather.
